Dr. Dowell loves the Lord and seeks to serve him through the use of her medical training. She is the adoring wife of Jasper Dowell, and proud mother of their two adult children—all of whom also love the Lord. Dr. Dowell’s faith has been forged in the fires of great adversity and trials. Her life’s verse is, Luke 1:37— “For with God, nothing shall be impossible”. Her heart’s prayer is, “Lord, may you be glorified through my life. Dr. Dowell received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Loyola University and later, her Medical Degree from the University of Illinois after which she completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Chicago. Dr. Dowell currently serves as a primary care physician and Site Medical Director at the Homan Square branch of the Lawndale Christian Health Center. In addition to serving as a domestic medical missionary at Lawndale,
Dr. Dowell serves as a medical missionary to Haiti as part of El Shaddai Ministry’s “Haiti Orphan Project”. During these missions, Dr. Dowell, along with other medical and nonmedical personnel bring medical care along with the Gospel, to orphanages and their surrounding communities in remote areas of Haiti. Dr. Dowell also serves on the Board of Directors for the Ibi People’s Clinic in Nigeria, Africa.
Chapel services are held weekly on Wednesdays at 10:00am and Thursdays at 9:30am, plus additional revival services in the fall and spring.
