Professor Hehman joined Olivet's full-time faculty and athletics coaching staff in 2016. He teaches courses in recreation sport management. He is also the head coach of Tiger football. His philosophy for coaching and for life is: "Honor God, Love Others, Tell the Truth, Make it Better, Compete."

In 2009, he was honored as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Southern Division Coach of the Year. In 2004, he was named Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest Assistant Coach of the NAIA. He is a member of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). He is a trained associate of GiANT Worldwide, a global company dedicated to leadership transformation through intentional apprenticeship.

When not coaching or teaching, Professor Hehman enjoys traveling, golf, biking, and spending time with family and friends.

He and his wife, Liz, are the parents of two sons, Matthew and Micah.
