Dr. Revor began teaching at Olivet in 2005. Her current assignment is as an affiliate professor, teaching courses in the Master of Arts in Education: Reading Specialist degree program. She is helping practicing teachers, grades kindergarten through 12, to become specialists in the area of reading.

Her professional career includes 33 years in public education working with junior high students. She began by teaching reaching. Later, she taught English and language arts, and worked with the school newspaper. Before her retirement, she was the chair of the English department.

She is a member of the International Literacy Association, Illinois Reading Council and National Education Association.

Outside the classroom, Dr. Revor enjoys writing and is the author of Emmanuel, a collection of inspirational short stories and poems, published by Infinity Publishing. Gardening and reading are two of her favorite leisure activities. She is currently training her Yorkie puppy to be a therapy dog.

She and her husband, Bryan, share a love for education. He is a teacher at Morton East High School, where he also supervises a student-led Bible study. Together, they are busy serving with a small church made up of their former and present students.

They are the parents of three adult children and grandparents of one grandson.
