MINISTRY TEAMS

Olivet Nazarene University’s Ministry Teams provide energetic, heart-felt worship for groups of all ages. An eclectic mix of drama and music, instrument and voice, Olivet’s Ministry Teams will provide just the right touch to your service or event, be it traditional or contemporary in format.

Olivetians: The Olivetians have captivated audiences of all ages with music that is refreshing and spirit-contagious, bringing together the best of traditional and contemporary sounds. To view the Olivetians' traveling schedule, click here.

Before Tomorrow: Before Tomorrow enthralls audiences with a unique blend of vocals and live instruments. The group’s acoustic and electric music points people to Christ through a lively praise and worship experience. To view Before Tomorrow's traveling schedule, click here.

Stylus: Stylus, a vocal and instrumental group, points people to Christ through a blend of traditional and contemporary worship music. To view Sylus' traveling schedule, click here.

 

TRAVELING TEAMS

These student-led ministering groups travel to churches, retreats, and youth events primarily on weekends. Church efforts, offering, and donations help to finance the outreach, inreach, and traveling ministries.

Omega: A volunteer, student-led group that utilizes the exciting world of drama through skits and possibly songs to share the message of Christ in our lives.

LifeSong: A volunteer, student-led singing ministry that travels to various churches, encouraging people, through the medium of music, to seek a deep, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

OUTREACH TEAMS

Compassionate Ministries: A volunteer, student-led ministry that reaches out to the physical needs of people through inner-city and environmental projects, hunger relief, and a variety of other services.

Mission Possible: A volunteer, student-led prison ministry that makes weekly visitations in order to take the message of hope found in Jesus Christ to inmates through listening, sharing, and essentially loving.

Evangels: A volunteer, student-led group that exists to minister to residents of three nursing homes through one-on-one and group interaction.

S.O.S: A volunteer, student-led group committed to reaching out to the urban community with God’s love in various ways, such as feeding the homeless or delivering blankets to the homeless to endure the cold.

Urban Children’s Ministries: A volunteer, student-led group that reaches out especially to children in the inner city, offering Christ-centered activities, independently and through the Kankakee Salvation Army; highly related to Big Brother, Big Sister.

Disciplers: A volunteer, student-led Bible teaching on different nights of the week (depending on age group), ministry to youth and children who live in Hopkins Park, one of the impoverished areas of our city.

Best Buddies: A volunteer, student-led group that shares the Love of Christ to the intellectually challenged through visiting, listening, playing, writing letters, helping, and hugging.

 

INREACH TEAMS

Party With Jesus: A contemporary student-led freestyle worship service that meets every week to come together and praise Jesus. Everyone’s invited to the fiesta.

Student Mission Fellowship: A group for students who feel the call to be a missionary and for those who have a heart for missions and missionaries overseas.

Prayer Warriors: A group consisting of students who are dedicated to praying for our students, our faculty, and our community that meets twice every week.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes: FCA is the largest interdenominational, school-based, Christian sports organization in America. FCA’s mission is to present to athletes, coaches and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
