MINISTRY TEAMS

Olivet Nazarene University’s Ministry Teams provide energetic, heartfelt worship for groups and congregations of all ages. The three groups provide a variety of music genres, and bring an eclectic mix of instrumentation and vocals. Olivet’s Ministry Teams can provide just the right touch to your service, camp, retreat or event. The Olivetians: The Olivetians have captivated audiences of all ages with music that is refreshing and spirit-contagious, bringing together the best of traditional and contemporary sounds. To view The Olivetians' traveling schedule, click here.

Before Tomorrow: Before Tomorrow enthralls audiences with a unique blend of vocals and live instruments. The group’s acoustic and eclectic music points people to Christ through a lively praise and worship experience. To view Before Tomorrow's traveling schedule, click here.

OUTBOUND TRAVELING TEAMS

These student-led, volunteer ministry groups travel on the weekends for church services, retreats and youth events.

Omega: These teams utilize drama to bring the Word of God to life.

LifeSong: These bands lead youth and congregations in meaningful praise and worship.

OUTREACH TEAMS

These teams are volunteer, student-led organizations that minister in the community.

Compassionate Ministries:  Reaches out to the physical needs of people in the community through a variety of projects, including hunger relief and clothing drives.

Mission Possible: Makes weekly visitations to the local prison, taking the message of hope found in Jesus Christ to inmates through listening, sharing and Bible study.

Evangels: Exists to minister to residents of three nursing homes through personal relationships and special events.

S.O.S: Committed to reaching out to the local homeless shelters.

Urban Children’s Ministries: Reaches out especially to at-risk children in the inner city, offering Christ-centered activities and mentoring programs.

Disciplers: Children's mid-week program for the youth of Hopkins Park, one of the more impoverished areas in Kankakee County.

Best Buddies: Exists to build personal relationships with individuals who are physically or mentally challenged through regular visits and special events.

Habitat for Humanity: ONU students partner with the local chapter of the HFH organization to build quality homes for needy families in the community.

Olivetians for Life: Raises awareness and support for the local pregnancy centers in the area as part of their pro-life ministry.

 

INREACH TEAMS

These teams are volunteer, student-led organizations that minister to the campus community.

Party With Jesus: A contemporary, student-led, freestyle worship service that meets weekly.

Student Mission Fellowship: A group for students who have a heart for missions and missionaries overseas, or have a specific call to be a long-term missionary.

Prayer Warriors: A student-led group dedicated to interceding for the Olivet community.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes: FCA's mission is to present to athletes, coaches and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
