Jump Start is designed to help new students get used to campus life and feel a part of the Olivet community. Students will also be challenged to find ways that they can make the most of their college experience. The key to maximizing college life is how a student begins. Therefore, each session is designed to provide students with the resources necessary to help them succeed throughout their time at ONU.
Some elements of the conference will include:
- A student-led praise fest
- Panel of upperclassmen who will answer “frequently asked questions” about what it means to be an Olivetian
- Relevant and insightful teaching
- Opportunities to meet other new students in small group settings
- Library orientation
- Refreshments and games
