For the third year in a row, the Best Christian Workplaces Institute has chosen Olivet Nazarene University as one of “The 40 Best Christian Places to Work.”
The Best Christian Workplaces survey aims to identify great workplaces with a Christian mission and/or values. Olivet conducted the online survey last fall. All full-time faculty and staff members received the survey.
“We are very pleased to be listed for the third year as one of the top 40 Best Christian Workplaces. This speaks to the high value the University places on our relationships with faculty and staff,” says David Pickering, director of Business Services at ONU. “It reflects the commitment the University has to provide a wonderful Christian environment for students to learn. Olivet strives to be a wonderful place not only for employees but for students and alumni.”
Participants were sorted into 11 categories. Independent judges weighed the data and selected the top 40. Olivet was placed in the category “Higher Education – Up to 500 Employees.” The other chosen universities in this category were Dallas Theological Seminary, Evangel University, The Master’s College, The Master’s Seminary and Phoenix Seminary.
“Based on survey results, Best Christian Workplaces in the US demonstrate high levels of employee engagement,” says Al Lopus, president of BCWI. “Leaders in these workplaces are engaging their people by enabling personal growth and building responsive and adaptable organizations while meeting their employees’ expectations for character, competence and transparency.”
