Women's Basketball

Welcome to TigerBall!

That’s how fans refer to the extreme up-tempo style of play adopted by women’s basketball at ONU in 2004-05.  The Tigers enjoy a unique reputation throughout college women’s basketball as one of the most exciting teams in America.  Since 2005, ONU has led the nation in scoring six times, setting 16 NAIA records in the process, including 104.1 ppg in 2008, the highest average ever for a college women’s basketball team.  More recently, ONU broke their own record in 2010-11, by scoring 100 or more points 23 times during the season, while their defense broke the college basketball record for steals in a season (735), forcing an amazing 36.4 turnovers per game.

In the process, the Tigers have earned four CCAC championships and two CCAC tournament titles since 2000, and boast four NAIA national tournament appearances, including their most recent in 2011. Look for TigerBall to continue setting records and challenging for championships for years to come!
