ROTC is the area of study in the Department of Military Sciences.
The purpose of the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps is to enable college students to pursue a course of study, in addition to their selected majors, which will qualify them, upon graduation, for appointment as officers in the U.S. Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard.
The ROTC program offers special scholarship opportunities for nursing majors.
The Military Science curriculum consists of one class a semester throughout the four years of undergraduate study. Alternate methods of completing the program should be discussed with the faculty representative on campus. Cadets in the program at ONU are part of the Roaring Tigers Battalion.
