Olivet Nazarene University‘s fully accredited Education programs are designed to equip educators with the knowledge they need to make a difference in the life of every K–12 student in our schools. We believe in the influence of teachers.

We also know you lead a busy life. Our accelerated programs are tailored to your unique needs as an adult learner. Classes meet one night per week or on the weekends, much of the coursework is completed in collaborative learning teams, an entering class stays together throughout a program and programs can be completed in 24 months or less. At the same time, our programs feature the academic rigor you would expect from a leading liberal arts university.

Olivet's Middle-School Endorsement program is designed for teaching content in the core academic subjects at the middle-grade level. As a student in the program, you will study the characteristics of adolescents and the issues that impact their education, understand the concept of middle-school education, and learn how to develop content lesson plans that meet Illinois state standards. At the conclusion of your coursework, you will meet the requirements for a state middle-school endorsement certificate.
