Master of Arts in Education: Library Information Specialist (Type 10)
Bill Summers, Coordinator

Olivet Nazarene University‘s Education programs, accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, are designed to equip educators with the knowledge they need to make a difference in the life of every K–12 student in our schools. We believe in the influence of teachers.

We also know you lead a busy life. Our accelerated programs are tailored to your unique needs as an adult learner. Classes meet one night per week or on the weekends, much of the coursework is completed in collaborative learning teams, an entering class stays together throughout a program and programs can be completed in 24 months or less. At the same time, our programs feature the academic rigor you would expect from a leading liberal arts university.

The Master of Arts in Education: Library Information Specialist program leads to Type 10 certification and combines the latest in theory and practice. As a student in this program, your coursework will address legislation and other field-related topics, as well as specific school issues, resources and populations — all infused with a focus on diversity to better prepare you to meet the needs of every student. The program meets American Library Association requirements and “Information Power” standards.
