Olivet Nazarene University‘s Education programs, accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, are designed to equip educators with the knowledge they need to make a difference in the life of every K–12 student in our schools. We believe in the influence of teachers.
We also know you lead a busy life. Our accelerated programs are tailored to your unique needs as an adult learner. Classes meet one night per week or on the weekends, a portion of the coursework is completed in collaborative learning teams, an entering class stays together throughout a program and programs can be completed in 24 months or less. At the same time, our programs feature the academic rigor you would expect from a leading liberal arts university.
The Teacher Leadership (TLED) Program is designed for the individual who desires to add an Illinois Teacher Leader Endorsement to his/her teaching certificate. It will also provide an introduction to the National Board Certification process. This accelerated program is designed to be completed in less than two years. Candidates are required to complete 33 graduate semester hours of course work consisting of a wide range of content pertaining to exemplary teaching and leadership.
