Doctor of Education in Ethical Leadership
Dr. Melvin Welch, Coordinator
"It is only fitting as we celebrate our first 100 years of Olivet Nazarene University that we start a new chapter in Olivet's academic life," said Dr. John C. Bowling, Olivet's president. "Offering a terminal degree is the perfect beginning to the next 100 years, and the Ed.D. in ethical leadership, in particular, is the ideal outgrowth of Olivet's mission to equip men and women for lives of service to God and humanity."
By offering this terminal degree, Olivet will become a beacon to the community and regions in which it serves by providing leaders who will be both dynamic and transformational, within an ethical framework. The Ed.D program is interdisciplinary and designed to include a wide range of professions requiring exemplary leaders. Candidates will be given the opportunity to enhance their professional competencies and, concomitantly, further develop leadership skills as they examine theoretical concepts and their application.
The design, format and focus of the program is geared toward the working professional and life-long learner. The Ed.D three-year program includes the dissertation, a rigorous and challenging curriculum in a cohort group size enhancing personal and direct interaction with professors and cohort members.
