Greetings from the School of Education and welcome to Olivet!

One Hundred Years and Counting (1907-2007): Olivet Nazarene University is celebrating their Centennial Year!  We exist to provide a liberal arts program from the perspective of an “Education With a Christian Purpose.”

In the School of Education we are dedicated to preparing candidates to be professionals who will influence lives! Olivet holds the accreditation and approval of the nation’s top associations, including the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education programs.  We continue to update our existing programs in accordance with the Illinois State Board of Education standards. 

The difference at Olivet, however, is students in the teacher education program are challenged academically and spiritually to personally integrate their faith with learning.  Our faculty is excited to work with you on the next step of your educational journey!  You may select early childhood education, elementary education, or a specific area in secondary education as your chosen major field for graduation and certification.
