ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Olivet Nazarene University women’s track and field team added four more NAIA National qualifiers at the 2013 Mike Lints Alumni Open hosted by Grand Valley State University (Mich.) on Friday, Jan. 18, bringing the total to six. Leading the way was senior Kortney Ellingboe (Hamilton, Ill.) who crossed the finish line in the 3000m run in 10:14.03, setting a new school record.

The Tiger distance runners continue to prove they are national contenders, as freshman Grace Dean (Lindenhurst, Ill.) and junior Christy Trank (Winnebago, Ill.) also qualified in the 3000m, finishing at 10:25.18 and 10:26.45, respectively. Junior Chantalle Falconer (Bryon, Ill.) used her 18:09.47 finish to qualify in the 5000m. Ellingboe, Dean and Falconer were all members of the Olivet women’s cross country team who finished third at the NAIA Nationals this past November.

Olivet will host their first ever indoor meet in the Field House of the new Student Life and Recreation Center on Jan. 25-26. The Tigers will welcome eight teams to the NAIA/NCAA DIII Challenge with events beginning at 5p.m. Friday, and continue at noon on Saturday.
