KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA has announced that 243 men's track & field student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
Representing the Olivet Nazarene University men's track and field team, juniors James Fisher (Wales, Mich.) , Sam Pimpo (Antioch, Ill.), Brian Willoughby (Elkhart, Ind.), Kyle Boone (Dixon, Ill.), and Matthew Logan (Dixon, Ill.). Among the seniors honored; Justin Jones (Oakwood, Ill.) , Matt Kearney (Marion, Iowa), Nicholas Mizeur (Moline, Ill.), and Thomas Powers (Security, Colo.). Jones and Powers have been named NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the second time.
