Alumni take the helm in athletic programs nationwide

Olivet Nazarene University alumnus Jason Mulligan ’00 has accepted the position of director of athletics at Rockford University, a NCAA Division III program.

Alumnus Jody Young is now the director of coaching for the High Country Soccer Association (HCSA) in North Carolina.

Alumnus Ken Huber is continuing his coaching career as the new head coach for a NAIA men's soccer program.

Olivet graduates are impacting the world of athletics with their new assignments.

Jason Mulligan ’00 has accepted the position of director of athletics at Rockford University, Rockford, Illinois. With his extensive background in coaching and administration, he will head up the NCAA Division III Regents athletics program. Click here for more information about Jason’s career experience.

While at Olivet, Jason played for the Tiger men’s basketball team under Coach Ralph Hodge.

Jody Young ’11 is now the director of coaching for the High Country Soccer Association (HCSA), a youth soccer club for player development in North Carolina. He previously served as technical director, tournament director, adult league coordinator and sponsorship manager with the organization. Ken Huber ’11/’14 M.O.L. is continuing his coaching career as the new head coach for Mountie men’s soccer at Eastern Oregon University in the NAIA. He completed three seasons as an assistant coach for Tiger men’s soccer and contributed significantly to the program’s success. Click here for more information about Ken’s career.

“We are really happy to see our alumni go on to successful careers in their chosen fields,” says Gary Newsome, Olivet’s athletic director. “I’ve worked personally with Ken and appreciate everything he did for our program. He is sure to be very successful at Eastern Oregon. He is taking what he has learned at ONU with him and will continue to be a great representative for our program.”
