In the love story of Ben Zobrist ’04, and his wife, Julianna, Christ and family continue to be at the center. The Zobrists shared their love story on PEOPLE ICONS: “Celebrity Love Stories,” hosted by Lara Spencer, when Season 1, Episode 1, aired on Tuesday, March 7, on ABC.

“Julianna was always in the back of my mind,” Ben says about his time as a single man. “Whenever I would start to date somebody, she would always come into my mind. I needed to find out if this was supposed to happen.”

The couple soon got engaged. They married on December 17, 2005.

Today, Ben plays Major League Baseball with the Chicago Cubs and was named as the 2016 World Series MVP. Olivet is the official education partner of the Cubs, and Ben is the spokesperson. Julianna has a career as a Christian music artist and recently released her newest project, “Shatterproof.”

With two careers and constant travel, Ben and Julianna work hard to keep their family together. “The divorce rate in baseball is over 84 percent,” Julianna shares. “So it was a deliberate decision for us to put into place a six-day rule.
