2013 Homecoming concert features Dove Award-winning artist David Phelps

Music and laughter will be the order of the evening as Olivet celebrates its 2013 Homecoming and Family Weekend with a concert featuring Gaither Vocal Band tenor David Phelps and comedian David Pendleton. Join the celebration and attend this concert on Saturday, November 9, 7 p.m., at the Betty and Kenneth Hawkins Centennial Chapel on Olivet’s campus.

David Phelps is recognized among today’s most spectacular voices. As a member of the Gaither Vocal Band, he has received four Dove awards, two Grammy awards and multiple platinum-selling projects. Known for his extensive vocal range, he has performed in prestigious venues across the world.

As a soloist, he received Dove nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year and for his Christmas DVD, “O Holy Night,” in 2009. His live-concert DVD, “David Phelps: Classic,” has been featured on television networks, including PBS.

David Pendleton is considered one of the nation’s premier ventriloquists. His high-energy show features a range of comedic characters and surprise appearances from audience members. As a 20-year veteran entertainer, his goal is make his audiences believe that anything can talk.
