ONU Chaplain and Global NYI President for the Church of the Nazarene Mark Holcomb recently returned from speaking at Mesoamerica’s first Nazarene Youth Congress (NYC) in Panama City, July 17-22. With four main languages represented, more than 700 people attended the conference, which was held at the University of Panama.
“The conference focused on evangelism, discipleship and leadership development,” he says. “It was a great event, and very encouraging for the region to come together in this way.”
Holcomb will continue serving as Global NYI President until next summer’s General Assembly in Indianapolis, Ind., when a new president will be elected. He was elected in 2009 at the General Assembly in Orlando, Florida.
