Leslie (Young) Parrott, Olivet Nazarene University Class of 1984, is one of the "50 Women to Watch" from Christianity Today's October issue.

The magazine surveyed dozens of evangelical leaders to "identify Christian women in North America whom evangelicals admire, and who are shaping the life of the church and culture in significant ways."

Parrott is a No. 1 New York Times best-selling author and co-founder (with her husband, Les Parrott) of Seattle Pacific University’s Center for Relationship Development. She is a marriage and family therapist who has written books for Beacon Hill Press of Kansas City (a division of Nazarene Publishing House) and articles for Holiness Today. Her books have sold more than two million copies in more than two dozen languages.

Leslie speaks to a wide variety of audiences, and her TV appearances include CNN, "Good Morning America," "The View with Barbara Walters," and "Oprah."

Olivet's School of Education is among the top six largest producers of teachers among all Illinois colleges and universities.
