A licensed clinical social worker, Professor Guimond has worked with the aging population, the chronically mentally ill and chemically dependent adolescents. At Olivet, she teaches introduction to social work, human behavior in the social environment, social work practice and topics in aging.
Her academic interests lie in the areas of self-care for the social work professional and disability policies across the lifespan. She has served on the Social Work Advisory Council for Trinity Christian College.
In her leisure time, she enjoys skiing, reading, strength training, scrapbooking and swimming.
She and her husband, Philip, have one daughter, Lucy. They are active at Manteno Church of the Nazarene.
