With more than 20 years of experience in teaching at secondary and post-secondary levels, Coach Richardson enjoys the opportunities he has to teach physical education and sports management courses to student at Olivet. He also serves as the instructor for the TEAM Sports Skills and Outdoor Education classes; the facility coordinator in the Department of Athletics; and as the University's head softball coach.
Over his 16-year coaching career at Olivet, his record is 736-270. He took the 2011 Tigers to the NAIA World Series for the seventh time on the strength of the team’s 50-12 record and both the CCAC regular season and tournament championships.
Coach Richardson is a member of the Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. As a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, he also served on its board of directors as the NAIA representative from 2004 to 2008.
He and his wife, Sharon, have one daughter, Anna.
