Scott Armstrong

Dr. Armstrong has earned a bachelor’s degree in biblical literature from Malone University in Ohio and a master’s degree in sports science from Ashland University, also in Ohio. His Ph.D. is in higher education administration from Ohio’s Kent State University. In addition to his administrative duties, he currently teaches classes in kinesiology and sport management.

With more than 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Armstrong previously served at Malone College, Northwest Nazarene University (Idaho) and Baldwin-Wallace College (Ohio). His past duties have included: professor, department chair, head women’s cross country and track coach, athletic director and sports information director.

An avid track and field fan, Dr. Armstrong enjoys showing off his “famous” T/F autograph collection to anyone who is even slightly interested. Although he no longer coaches, he volunteers at college meets. He is a former long and triple jumper and was inducted into the Malone College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1991.

His wife, Dr. Susan Armstrong, serves as worship pastor at the Manteno Church of the Nazarene. Their son, Brendon, and his wife, Aleah, have one son, Ethan, and live in Columbus, Ohio.
