Dr. Patrick-Trippel teaches and directs the general education course for communication. She also teaches courses in communication, persuasion and media influence.

Before coming to Olivet, she taught at Fisk University in Nashville, Tenn. Her interest in multi-cultural education has provided opportunities to speak and write on the subject.

In 2004, Dr. Patrick-Trippel completed her doctoral dissertation titled "Experiential Learning in Communication Courses: Development and Evaluation" and was awarded the "Outstanding Dissertation Award" from Nova Southeastern University.
