A native of Chicago, Jerry Luzeniecki has been adjunct professor of saxophone at ONU since 1997. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Ill., and a Master of Arts in Music from Governors State University, University Park, Ill. Mr. Luzeniecki has served as band director at Bourbonnais Upper Grade Center, fourth grade music teacher at LeVasseur Elementary School and has given band instrument lessons at Liberty Intermediate School.

In his spare time, he enjoys performing with various bands in the Kankakee, Joliet and Chicago areas, including the Del Bergeson Orchestra, Paul Germano Orchestra, The Swing Kings Big Band, the Jazz Times Big Band and Jazz Combo, and Steve Anthony Orchestra. He has also performed with the Jay Mau Orchestra, the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra and Everyday People.

Jerry Luzeniecki has been happily married to Cindy since 1981. The Luzenieckis have three grown children, and one grandchild, as of April 2013. He enjoys (but does not excel at) golf. Jerry Luzeniecki’s latest CD, Nothing Fancy, was released in fall 2012.
