Dr. Taylor is the Director of the Master of Arts in Professional and School Counseling programs and teaches undergraduate counseling courses in the Department of Behavioral Sciences, as well as in the master's program. She is also the administrator of the Olivet Nazarene University Counselor Education Lab.

She is a licensed clinical professional counselor in Illinois and is additionally board certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors and the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Her professional areas of interest and specialization include educational/developmental psychology and counselor education. Dr. Taylor’s dissertation research focused on identification of variables that predict academic success at the undergraduate level. She continues to have a strong interest in this area, as well as integration of faith and counseling.
