General Summary:
Olivet Nazarene University seeks an undergraduate faculty member in Electrical Engineering. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities consist primarily of teaching core engineering and electrical concentration courses as part of a growing and dynamic engineering program accredited by EAC of ABET, Inc. Typical areas for undergraduate courses are electrical circuits, introduction to programming, digital systems, automatic controls, communications systems, digital and analog electronics and signal processing. Specific courses will be determined to match individual backgrounds and program needs. Other responsibilities include advising and mentoring students, supervision of senior design projects, writing of grant proposals, and serving on University committees. Scholarly research and presentation at technical conferences is encouraged. 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
Ph.D. or Doctorate of Science in Electrical Engineering or active pursuit thereof required. Undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.

Effective teaching experience, evidence of scholarly competence, passion for teaching undergraduate students, and support of Olivet’s mission are essential.

Candidates should be willing to contribute to university life in areas such as academic advising, student organization advising, recruiting for the major, and committee service. The candidate should also be able to clearly articulate the integration of the Christian faith and engineering.
