Favorite class at Olivet:
My favorite class at Olivet was Pastoral Care
and Counseling with Dr. Mark Quanstrom. I took this class as an elective my
senior year at Olivet, and I loved every second of it. It helped me grow in my
appreciation for pastors, and it strengthened my heart for ministry. I loved
learning about the role of the Church, the role of a pastor, and how those are
both a part of God’s redemptive plan. I encourage everyone to take this class!
Best Olivet memory: There are too many great Olivet
memories to choose from, but one of my favorite memories was singing as a
soprano soloist in our performance of Handel’s Messiah during my junior and senior years at Olivet.
Favorite ONU professor:
One of my favorite professors at Olivet is
Dr. Neal Woodruff. I was able to take voice lessons with him for two
years, as well as participate in Concert Singers, one of the vocal
ensembles he directs. Dr. Woodruff is a wise, caring and comical
individual. I was very grateful for the opportunity to be his student.
