Professor Dillinger brings 12 years of teaching and 21 years of experience as a catalog librarian to her position as a faculty emeritus and archivist of Olivet’s Benner Library and Resource Center.
Her master's in library science with a school library specialist endorsement enabled her to gain school library experience in three different states, during her husband’s military career.
Since being hired as an academic librarian at Olivet in 1990, she has completed a Certificate in Advanced Studies from the University of Illinois, which enables her to provide leadership as the archivist for Benner Library. She is a member of the Association of Christian Librarians.
She is married to Paul, who is a nursing professor at Olivet. Together, they have a heart for ministry to ONU students.
The Dillingers are the parents of three adult children: son, Frank, who is a middle school science teacher in the South Chicago suburbs; daughter, Mary Elise, who is a Major in the Army JAG Corps; and son, Dan, who is an IT network administrator in Chicago. They also have eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
