Dr. Greer serves as the director of nursing programs for Olivet’s Department of Nursing (undergraduate) and School of Graduate and Continuing Studies.
Since joining Olivet’s faculty in 2002, she has served as the faculty sponsor for the Nursing Students' Association and the Kappa Sigma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the nursing honor society. She has chaired the Admission, Progression, and Retention committee and has served on the RN-BSN committee. She also had an active role in the course development for the Accelerated Bachelor of Nursing (ABSN) degree program.
In her professional nursing career, Dr. Greer has worked as a telemetry staff nurse, an emergency room staff nurse, and as a clinical nurse educator in emergency care. She has also served as an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) instructor and provider; has successfully completed the Trauma Nurse Core Course twice; and has previously completed training in Core Disaster Life Support. She maintains her license as a registered nurse.
Dr. Greer has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau International since 1997.
During her free time, she enjoys reading, teaching Sunday School, singing at her church in the choir and on the praise team, and helping in the church's children and youth departments. She and her husband, Mitch, have two children. Family time is one of her greatest joys.
