Professor Greiner is particularly interested in challenging students to use their talents for the Lord in a secular world. He serves as department chair.

Also a working artist, he has his paintings on display in several galleries across the Midwest, including two corporate galleries. His work is in five national Art Institute collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago, and has appeared in more than 300 private collections throughout the United States, Europe and Africa. His work has been represented in Agora Gallery in the Chelsea art district in New York, and he has been selected for Yale University and Dan Bown juried competition national exhibits as well.

He collects ancient coins of Greek and Roman artifacts; and also has an extensive collection of early American money starting with the colonies through to the present.

For many years, Professor Greiner had an art framing business and framed for such notables as Christian singer Amy Grant, artist Peter Max and the James Bond collections. He has personally framed for all five Bonds.

He also enjoys doing art consulting work and art appraisals for estates, collections and businesses.
