Olivet Nazarene University will host the 20th annual Bourbonnais Community Prayer Breakfast in Chalfant Hall on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 8:00 a.m.
The speaker will be Jim DeZwaan, former superintendent of the Bourbonnais School District. He will speak on the dramatic ending to his recent trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Jim and 12 others went to Congo to support village churches planted by the International Berean Ministries. They went to evangelize, provide education for teachers and principals, conduct a health clinic, and work with children. They also assisted rebuilding classrooms. On the last day, militants threatened the village. Come hear the story of how prayer and the hand of God brought them out safely.
In addition, enjoy a fine buffet breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausage, gravy and biscuits and hash browns. Join with our community in prayer for our elected and employed leaders and staff members, our neighbors, our state, and our nation.
Tickets cost $11 per person and are available at the door.
